I was inspired to paint orchids in 2011 when my daughter was going through chemotherapy. People kept giving her the most beautiful orchids which is nice because the blooms last so long. I called the 2 paintings I did Resilience, for my daughter's strength is getting through her treatments & for the resilience of the blooms.
